101 lb halibut
MV Salmon Seeker - August 30, 2006Another successful season is drawing to a close here at Kano Inlet.
The weather has turned over last few days but some improvement is expected tomorrow and we hope to finish the season with some sunshine.
A 101 lb halibut was landed today by David Tutt, earning him his Masterfisherman status and Dwight Belland’s 40 lb Chinook is the current leader for the final trip trophy of the season.
The MV Salmon Seeker crew has enjoyed hosting our many repeat customers this year and it has also been a pleasure introducing some first timers to this fishing and scenic paradise on the west cast of the Queen Charlotte Islands.
We look forward to seeing you all again next year.
