148 lb halibut

MV Salmon Seeker - July 20, 2006

All of our Boston Whaler Outrages were away early this morning and talk was about Coho. They showed up here about five days ago, and are great sport in between the hali and salmon tides.

This morning, the water around Kano Inlet was smooth with moderate winds. Smooth seas mean hali fishing for guests on the Seeker until, of course, the next slack tide. Then it's salmon season like you've never seen.

The majority of our guests went for halibut fishing this morning and the result was a trophy 148 lb halibut caught by Neil Tocher of Whitmore CA. Nice work Neil!
