Although salmon fishing has not been quite as spectacular as on our earlier trips, guests are still limiting out on high twenties Chinook. Coho in the ten pound range are showing more frequently on the fish board.
Trip 4 started with a bang on the first afternoon – a 44 pounder was brought in by Sumeet Goswami. Still lots of opportunity to beat that one for the trip trophy, but I think I hear the fat lady singing!
Three 100 plus Halibut on the first full day and no doubt more to come this afternoon as that seems to be today’s objective.
Looks like a break in the weather is on the way, with strong winds forecast for mid week, but hopefully it will turn out to be a short break.
Lots of whale, sea lion, and octopus stories from our returning guests. It’s a jungle out there!
