52 pounder!
MV Salmon Seeker - August 24, 2006
Yesterday’s excellent fishing yielded a nice crop of Tyee-range Chinook (30 pounds plus) and lots of Coho, including a 16 pounder.
They were all eclipsed, though, by the magnificent 52 lb Chinook landed by Rick Hart, who has been trying for many years to bring in one over 50. We hope Rick won’t quit now and take up golf or something!
The weather continues to be wonderfully benign for this part of the world and all the boats were away at first light this morning — no doubt in search of a 53lb Chinook.
