The guests for recent trip were greeted with strong NW winds but clear and sunny skies. The fishing was very good in Kano Inlet with excellent results and daily Humpback Whale putting on a show. We added 12 new members to our Captains’ Club with 3 Guests who caught Halibut in excess of 50lbs., Donnalynn Ortiz 51lb., George Stuit 58lb. and Preston Peightal with a 96lb. halibut. Captains’ Club with Tyee pins were Scott Gallacher 30 lb., Sean McQueen, Conrad Majack and Steve Douglas all with 31lb. chinook Preston Peightal and Andy McFarlane with 32lb. and Mike Cafik and Martin Lebl with 35lb. Springs and Rob Jones with a 49lb. Chinook just missing Masterfisherman honors but the Oak Bay trophy clock and Masterfisherman Award went to Andy McFarlane for landing the season high 53lb. Chinook at Black Rock which proves that you don’t have to travel far to catch fish at any of our Northern Resorts.
