The early season action continues at Kano Inlet with four 30lb. Chinook landed early Friday and Saturday. Ted Damico reeled in the big one at 34lb. and is the current leader for the trip trophy. We won't engrave the trophy just yet however, as the conversations out by the fish board indicate the presence of many larger Chinook that just shook the hook at the last minute!
With Saturday's calm conditions, anglers got in some bottom fishing and were rewarded with some nice halibut - four of them over 50lbs. including Ed Gwynne's 93 pounder. Limits of Chinook continue to not be a problem for anglers this season and the next couple of days will be occupied with "The search for the BIG ONE!" to finish off the trip.
