“Spectacular” fishing is back again at Kano Inlet.
After a three day hiatus things are back to normal with 30 Tyee-size Chinook brought back to the ship in the last two days. Large halibut have also returned to our fish deck with five today over 100 pounds, topped by young Austin Kosir’s 225 pounder.
Guests are also getting lots of catch and release action again for Coho and Chinook, with everyone looking for the trophy fish. This trip’s leader in that department is Alan Johnson’s 43 pounder, but a few folks are intent on beating that one in the morning.
Our great weather continues and, apart from morning fog, calm seas and sunny skies prevail. A change is on the way however with south-east gales forecast for Sunday.
