BC fishing report
MV Salmon Seeker - July 18, 2006
We proved Environment Canada’s weather forecast wrong today. They predicted strong winds and a gale warning was issued. But when I rose with ou guests this morning, the weather station at Kindakun indicated a gentle 5 knot easterly and I advised everyone to pack their sunscreen.
It was a great day for fishing with this nice weather and smooth seas. Our guests sure made the most of it, netting over 40 Chinook, 16 Coho, 16 halis and a pile of rock fish.
We had some beautiful trophy fish today: Jim Swett caught a 113 lb. halibut and Dan Kobeski caught a 105 pounder. At dinner time they were each awarded a coveted MasterFisherman hat each and a bottle of Champagne (which was also appreciated!).
Just another successful day spent on bountiful waters of Kano Inlet.
