BC fishing update - western QCI

MV Salmon Seeker - June 28, 2006

A ridge of pressure is sitting just off the west coast of the Queen Charlottes so we are experiencing some northwest winds that let us enjoy fine weather and clear views of the breathtaking mountain scenery.

Everyone set off for Kindakun Point and Cone Head today. Guests relaxing in the lounge this evening looked on a 68 fish passed through the fish preparation area this evening — the spoils of a great day's fishing. The catch today was primarily Chinook in the twenty to thirty pound range with a few medium halibut and some sporty Coho as well.

As the ridge is forecasted to sit right where it is for the next couple of days, it looks like the intrepid guests of the MV Salmon Seeker will have their pick of the fishing spots tomorrow.
