I noticed yesterday, while recording the catch of the day on various reports that we are required to file every day, that fishing is still going very strong and there is no signs of slow down. This is a very healthy sign for our guests. One can tell by the excitement shown on their faces yesterday seeing the amount of fish brought in on the after deck Usually it is not that obvious as the boats return at various times. Due to the ship returning from fuelling yesterday, the majority of the boats arrived, more or less at the same time. It was quite a show to see that amount of fish displayed at the same time.
The weather today is a replica of yesterday, yet the seas was flat calm .and as the boats come trickling in one can see the expression on our gusts faces and their remarks regarding the amount they caught and kept or released.
During the orientation for every group, while welcoming them on board, I mention that this is the best fishing area in the world but lately I contained it to the Pacific North West. I am debating whether or not revert back to “the best area in the world” at least in my estimation .I personally would like everyone who reads our Reel Reports and haven’t yet encountered this great experience, to join us and try it for themselves and I am sure that they will not be disappointed.
