Fishing in Kano Inlet looms large in anglers’s minds, and it is honestly living up to both their expectations and their dreams. I have never seen such quantities of fish. Our guests need to be careful since their limits can be reached quite early in the trip. This the start of our third fishing trip and so far we have six Masterfisherman and nine Captain’s Club recipients.
Our guests are all exited about couple of sae lions hanging around the area who, every now and then picks a good fat salmon and runs off with it. I would be furious if it took my fish but our guests are good-hearted people.
Today our guests brought in 51 Chinook and the two largest were 35 and 32 lbs., both caught by Larry Boudreau of BC. He was awarded the Captain’s Club award and pin. John Payne nabbed the largest halibut of the day, an 84 pounder. We had a both 64 and 60 lb. halibut up on the scales.
