Coho craze continues

MV Salmon Seeker - July 28, 2007

queen charlottes fishing lodgeOnce again, the weather on the west side of the Queen Charlotte Islands is still great. Other areas in the Pacific Northwest would love to have our weather. We started the day at south east 11 knots and now at mid day it is down to east winds at three knots. Isn’t this great? This weather would entice anybody to go fishing.

Some of our guests are back already just to leave their catch in a tub on ice and will return later as the fishing is going very well and they don’t have the space in their boat for more fish! I noticed that they took the top of their fishing gear off because of the great weather they are experiencing out there in Kano Inlet.

Today we caught the second largest haul of Coho this season: 43 Coho!

Michael Stuart brought home today's biggest Chinook, a nice 34 pounder and Zach Kallas landed a hefty 77 lb. halibut.
