The fishing was hot today, there are no two ways about it.
Earlier this week we had the “day of the halibut” but today was the “day of the Coho salmon.” We got our largest Coho haul since the season started and our guests are loving it. All this could not be achieved without having the proper weather. As expected, the sea was calm and there was no wind. The sun came out and it turned to be a hot day. If you are coming up soon, pack some sun screen.
Being the west coast of the Queen Charlotte Islands, even a Coho-crazy fishing day still leaves time to fish for other species. Two Albertans dominated the fish board today: Colleen Reynolds brought home a nice, bright 36 lb. Chinook and Randy Riedlinger landed a monster 208 lb. halibut. Nice work, anglers.
