It was the “day of the halibut” on the MV Salmon Seeker today. Our guests caught huge numbers of the flat ones and the aft deck (where we clean your catch) was buzzing with guests and cameras.
Travis Taylor of Nevada took the top trophy: a 112 lb. halibut. The 100 lb. plus fish are almost becoming common place. Yesterday, Steven Balzer brought home a 102 pounder.
Chinook are still coming on strong—both Charlie Lefort and Dennis Riley brought in some nice Tyees.
Add to all that some fabulous weather plus calm seas and lots of wild life—life couldn’t be better!
