Finding Nimmo

MV Salmon Seeker - August 26, 2006

The second to last trip of the season got off to a great start at Kano Inlet with a 41 lb Chinook brought home by Tim Nimmo on his first afternoon.

Coupled with the 52 lb trophy winning Chinook caught last trip, the indications are that there are still some big ones around. No halibut activity so far but still plenty of Coho, topping out at 17 lbs.

Calm seas prevail and even the odd glimpse of sunshine. Lots of blue shark encounters at the moment as is customary at this time of year — great action but there is a definite lack of interest in bringing one into the boat!
