The latest trip had a great combo upon their arrival at Kano Inlet, sunny skies and seas 1-2 meters made for ideal fishing conditions.
Captains' Club for Coho over 15 lbs. went to Paul Campbell 15 lb., Tony Campbell 15lb., Charles Baker 15 lb., and Beverley Kjernisted with a 17 lb. Coho.
Captains' Club for catching halibut over 50 lbs. went to Gregory Dobbyn 52 lbs., John Sargent 56 lbs., Kenneth Varley 65 lbs., and Charles Baker with a 70 lb. halibut.
Captains' Club membership for catching Chinook over 30 lbs. went to Duncan Macdonell, Anthony Hansen, Paul Campbell, Maury Hull and Michael Easter all with 30 lb. Chinook. Wane Stack and Duncan Macdonell had 31 lb. tyees and Tony Campbell, Gerwin Albersboated 32 lb. Chinook Darren Cassidy was a double winner with his 32 lb. and 36 lb. tyees.
Masterfisherman Awards for hauling in halibut in excess of 100 lbs. went to Kenneth Varley 115 lbs., Darren Cassidy 125 lbs. and Maury Hull with a 212 lb. halibut.
Finally, the prize most coveted by our Northern Resorts patrons the Oak Bay Clock Award for Largest Salmon of the trip went to Maury Hull with his 48 lb. Chinook. The coho and tyees are entrenched in Kano Inlet and the fishing is great.
