More anglers join Masterfisherman & Captain's Club

MV Salmon Seeker - July 10, 2008

The unsettled weather pattern continues in Kano Inlet and surrounding areas. Yet, still this does not take anything away from the natural beauty that we are blessed with here.

We had in part of the morning hours some precipitation. The weather office call it showers, but I looked at what is happening, and wondered how can you call rain by different names. They are, drizzle, light shores, showers, light rain, rain, heavy rain and so on. I like it when the weather office sometimes calls it precipitation and give just a percentage with it such as “40% chance of precipitation”. This way you can never be wrong!!!

Then all of a sudden the weather changed, the sun came out and turned to be a lovely day.Early morning, all our guests were determined to compete for Masterfisherman and Captain’s Club status. This is the spirit we are always blessed with in any trip we have on the MV Salmon Seeker. For those who have never tried it, they don’t know what they are missing.

We’ve had plenty more guests nab massive halibut to claim the title Masterfisherman!
Steve Romeo -123 lb. halibut
Mark Ankenman – 110 lb. halibut
Neil McLennan – 134 lb. halibut
Dave Collins – 158 lb. halibut
Bruce Fowler – 170 lb. halibut

Not to be outdone by halibut fisherman, we’ve also had some nice Chinook hit the docks. We’d like to welcome these anglers into the Captain’s Club.
Roland Schmidt – 44 lb. Chinook
Adam Kuntz – 30 lb. Chinook
Sylva Therrien – 37 lb. Chinook
