Queen Charlottes Fishing Report

MV Salmon Seeker - July 3, 2006

On the last day of trip 9, anglers set out early to get their last morning on the water. The boats came back just as the freight plane arrived with the fresh supplies for another week and left with 38 boxes of frozen fish. The morning’s catch, meanwhile, another 19 boxes was being cleaned, filleted and readied for the second aircraft.

A trophy clock was awarded to Mitch Usibelli of Woodway, WA who caught the largest salmon of the trip — a 46 lbs beauty. After this presentation I conducted a “renewal of marriage vows‘ for Laurie and Zenith Zazulak, of Edmonton, AB, in the upper lounge. All our guests shared this lovely occasion with the Zazulaks.

As this was a change over day, the new guests took full advantage of the nice weather and were out on the water for four hours, bringing in 17 fish in the beautiful Kano Inlet afternoon.
