Queen Charlottes Fishing Update

MV Salmon Seeker - July 3, 2007

We are sure blessed to be fishing in Kano Inlet and surrounding area. Weather forecast was calling for southerly 20 to 25 knot winds but it did not go that far and our guides with their experience managed to have our guests enjoying one of there best fishing days so far this year!

Most of them have their quotas of various species. As I always say, even with this kind of weather, the beauty and the scenery in Kano Inlet is fascinating which comes as a bonus.

Our top Chinook today was a 34 pounder caught by Steve Ahlfield, a veteran MV Salmon Seeker guest. Not much bottom fishing today although those who tried got a nice mix between 20 and 35 lbs.

Also notable was a bright 15 lb. Coho caught by Dale MacDonald.
