Light winds and seas of less than 2 metres over the last few days have made for ideal fishing conditions at Kano Inlet, from Hunter Point in the south to Rennel Sound in the north. Chinook are in abundance in the 25 to 38 lb range and Coho are now reaching 15 lbs and providing plenty of action. Halibut fishing seems to be at it's peak at the moment with plentiful catches in the 50 - 80 range and one landed recently weighed in at 189lb. This area continues to be under the influence of an area of high pressure and although weather can change quickly on the west coast, the next few days should provide light winds and spectacular fishing.
