Three more Masterfishermen!

MV Salmon Seeker - August 2, 2007

Queen Charlottes fishing lodgeThe ridge of high pressure that I mentioned yesterday is still hanging in the area with all the good weather that it brings along.

During breakfast this morning, and as I was telling our guests about the automated ind speed and direction from Kindakun weather station I had a very nice discussion with our guest Kenneth Robertson from CA. He told me how magnificent this area of the coast. It is not just the fishing, because you can get fish from any where, butthe whole experience of being here. It is the ambience of the ship, the ride in the boat, the wildlife. Plus, the fishing is unbeatable.

Carol Frahm of Washington topped the salmon charts today with a perfect 37 lb. Chinook. Nice work!

Today was a huge day for halibut fishermen: we have three new masterfisherman!

Kenneth Robertson got a 139 lb. halibut, Ken Robertson, Jr. grabbed a 132 lb. halibut and long-time Salmon Seeker guest Jim Nassichuck boated a whopping 207 lb. halibut!
