Two new halibut Masterfishermen

MV Salmon Seeker - July 7, 2006

We are experiencing a little change in the weather with overcast skies and some drizzle, which makes it a perfect fishing weather. The result of this: a heaping number of fish caught by our guests.

Today#x2019;s catch saw 30 Chinooks, the largest being a 38 pounder caught by Steve Ahlfield.

There were two brilliant halibut catches, too: a 280 lb hali caught by Rick Wakelin of New Zealand and a 110 lb halibut caught by Dawson Baker from California. Both were awarded Masterfisherman’s hats. All in all it was a very good fishing day and everyone was all smiles around the dinner table, enjoying delicious meal prepared by our known Chef Toby.
