Tyees and double headers

MV Salmon Seeker - June 17, 2007

Another successful trip for our guests at Kano Inlet draws to a close with one of the best fishing days of the year.

Double headers and catch-and-release were the order of the day as it became difficult to put lines in the water without getting a fighting Chinook on the end.

Some of our new guides from down south were just as awestruck as the guests at this kind of fishing. Chinook limits all round and many Tyees among them. Bob Martin’s 37 lb. Chinook was the largest today.

All this action took place inside the inlet, since conditions for the most part precluded ventures to the outside. Weather has now moderated which should allow some bottom fishing in the morning.
